14 weeks today!

Yay we are now at the 14 week mark! It seems like only yesterday I was posting on here about being 6 weeks. Times flies when you are pregnant! I was going to do a video but thought maybe I would wait another week or two, you don't what too much of my ugly mug on this blog!

I have to say now I am in the 2nd trimester (it feels nice to say that), I am feeling less sick and perhaps a little better (haven't had headaches for a while which is a blessing). I wish my bump was growing more but people are starting to notice a little bump at least! My spots are still rubbish so I shall just except my acne infested skin as a sacrifice I must pay! ;) I am still pretty exhausted all the time but perhaps have a little more energy during the day. Still having strange feelings in my tummy, I know it's not the baby moving yet (have to wait another month or so for that!) but I still don't know what it is. Hopefully it means that all good things are happening!

Michael and I change the nickname for our baby every week depending on size, last week they were the size of a shrimp so we called them shrimpy and this week they are the size of a lemon....so maybe lemony?! Doesn't quite have the same ring to it. The baby can now squint, frown, grimace and even pee! I spend ages on my Ipad apps (I have about 6 of them including a baby countdown, sad but true) reading up about how the baby is developing because I find it all fascinating that it's happening right now in my belly!

(this is not an actual view of inside my tummy, it was stolen from Google Images.)

We had a great letter yesterday with our results for the Down Sydrome test and very blessed that it came back negative, all is well and that our odds were given as 1 in 50,000 which is a very low risk. Of course having a down sydrome baby would never change how we feel but it is a big relief to know they are healthy and praying that it stays that way.

In terms of baby bits this week...well I have been so tempted! Ebay, you drive me crazy with bargains! I have bidded and lost on many items so decided to hold off buying anything big for now. However we have picked up some great charity shop bargains...

Thanks to my mum, we got this lovely TinyLove Baby Gym which is so cute with detachable rattles, toys etc. £4.99 when they cost over £20-thank you British Heart Foundation!

My mum and I have also picked up a few more things in charity shops. I have a love for annoyingly sickly cute bunny hats-whoops! as well as Winnie the Pooh! Everything here was under £1.

When Michael and I went shopping in Brighton on Saturday we went to Mothercare as well as H&M kids and Michael couldn't resist buying this super cute froggy outfit! Poor baby will have no choice but to be dressed as various farm animals through its infant life. We're obviously still buying neutral things but I am still counting down to our gender scan, 17 days to go in fact!

Hope you are all having a lovely day :) xoxo
