Stomach flutterings!

Hello all! I'm currently about 15 and a half weeks pregnant now and I've had really weird feelings in my stomach today! I don't know if they may *possibly* be baby movements, I feel that it's unlikely because it's not something I should feel for another few weeks...but who knows! I can only describe the feelings as fluttering and 'twitch' feeling-sometimes on the right side of my belly button and sometimes just above! I guess I shall find out in the next few weeks :)

Today I got lots of nice baby bits in the post that I had bought from Ebay last week-I thought I would share the cuteness!

How sweet is this little Winnie the Pooh snowsuit! I couldn't resist and bought it on ebay for 99p. It's super fluffy and I can't wait for our baby to be all snuggled inside!

My mum bought this cute little H&m babygrow from a charity shop for 50p! So cheap and I love the little animals on the front.

I got these two baby sleepsuits with the pyjamas below-all for 99p! So they were about 30p each. The little white pawprint one is from Tesco and the 'I love Daddy' one is from Next.

These pjs are incredibly cute but SO SMALL! I can only imagine the baby will probably wear these for a month but who cares when they are this adorable!

I also picked up another bargain from Sainsburys-fitted sheets for the cot (which we won't be buying for another month or so) which were only £3.90 reduced from about £12!

It's only just over a week now until our gender scan-time is dragging!!! This weekend me and Michael are going down to the south coast to spend some time with his family which will be nice. I will probably do another blog post when I get back on Monday or Tuesday :) Hope you all have a wonderful Easter. I am now off work for just over 2 weeks! Whooo!

Nursery Inspiration

A little early to be thinking about this yes but there is no harm in planning and getting ideas! We do not have a seperate room for our new arrival but we do have a big bedroom and like I have mentioned in my video blog, we have created space so that we can have some nice things for the baby including a cot, wardrobe etc! Our walls are now painted dark blue and having always been a lover of stars and moons and what not, I thought have a 'stars and moon theme' for the baby's area would be lovely considering we have the perfect background for it! I plan to scour ebay and charity shops (when I am not feeling completely hideous like today, more on that next week!) for little things but in the mean time I have been using Pinterest to gather ideas. What do you think?

These pretty little nurseries are great inspiration-I love the moon and stars stickers on the walls as well as the light blues and whites.

These pictures make perfect wall hangings for the nursery and I love the quote pictures especially 'We love you to the moon and back' which is so sweet!

I love to get a cot mobile like this with owls and stars and I am always on the look out for cushions like this but they seem hard to find!

Lastly, I just love the idea of having stars all over the ceiling or at least lots of twinkling lights along the wall. After a bit of researching I discovered these wonderful things called 'Tomy Lightshow' which attach to the cot and play music as well as project starry images onto the ceiling. They sell them on Amazon and it is definitely on our purchase list!

I am feeling rather crappy today, slept badly because of bad hip and ligament pain which sucks! I am currently 14+4 and I hope to do a little video blog next week so I can show some of my new clothes and a few new baby purchases! Hope you all have a lovely weekend xoxo

14 weeks today!

Yay we are now at the 14 week mark! It seems like only yesterday I was posting on here about being 6 weeks. Times flies when you are pregnant! I was going to do a video but thought maybe I would wait another week or two, you don't what too much of my ugly mug on this blog!

I have to say now I am in the 2nd trimester (it feels nice to say that), I am feeling less sick and perhaps a little better (haven't had headaches for a while which is a blessing). I wish my bump was growing more but people are starting to notice a little bump at least! My spots are still rubbish so I shall just except my acne infested skin as a sacrifice I must pay! ;) I am still pretty exhausted all the time but perhaps have a little more energy during the day. Still having strange feelings in my tummy, I know it's not the baby moving yet (have to wait another month or so for that!) but I still don't know what it is. Hopefully it means that all good things are happening!

Michael and I change the nickname for our baby every week depending on size, last week they were the size of a shrimp so we called them shrimpy and this week they are the size of a lemon....so maybe lemony?! Doesn't quite have the same ring to it. The baby can now squint, frown, grimace and even pee! I spend ages on my Ipad apps (I have about 6 of them including a baby countdown, sad but true) reading up about how the baby is developing because I find it all fascinating that it's happening right now in my belly!

(this is not an actual view of inside my tummy, it was stolen from Google Images.)

We had a great letter yesterday with our results for the Down Sydrome test and very blessed that it came back negative, all is well and that our odds were given as 1 in 50,000 which is a very low risk. Of course having a down sydrome baby would never change how we feel but it is a big relief to know they are healthy and praying that it stays that way.

In terms of baby bits this week...well I have been so tempted! Ebay, you drive me crazy with bargains! I have bidded and lost on many items so decided to hold off buying anything big for now. However we have picked up some great charity shop bargains...

Thanks to my mum, we got this lovely TinyLove Baby Gym which is so cute with detachable rattles, toys etc. £4.99 when they cost over £20-thank you British Heart Foundation!

My mum and I have also picked up a few more things in charity shops. I have a love for annoyingly sickly cute bunny hats-whoops! as well as Winnie the Pooh! Everything here was under £1.

When Michael and I went shopping in Brighton on Saturday we went to Mothercare as well as H&M kids and Michael couldn't resist buying this super cute froggy outfit! Poor baby will have no choice but to be dressed as various farm animals through its infant life. We're obviously still buying neutral things but I am still counting down to our gender scan, 17 days to go in fact!

Hope you are all having a lovely day :) xoxo

Cute baby bits!

Firstly, hello to all my new readers, my blog is officially open to the public now! I have realised that blogger has now removed the option to have followers which is a shame but I hope whoever reads my blog/watches my videos enjoys it!

I am currently 13+3 and been having funny feelings in my tummy the past few days. Hopefully it's a good thing and means things are moving and happening! The past few days I have been browsing a lot online at baby things-like I said in my video, I am going to try and not buy *too much* yet but it really is hard when there are so many cute things in the shops!! Also, me and Michael have our heart set on this adorable little bear chair/playmat that I saw on the Mothercare website for £39.99...isn't it lovely? If you click on the picture it will send you to the Mothercare webpage (which incidently have some lovely stuff and some of it is quite reasonably priced).

I had a little browse in the charity shops as well as Boots yesterday and couldn't resist buying a few bits.

This lovely bib set from Boots (£1) and this sweet little baby grow (very boyish but could be unisex?!) and a lovely starry sleepsuit which matches our bedspread hehe! (£1.50 from British Heart Foundation).

I also made a stop into the H&M Kids sale and saw so many things I liked-the problem is as we don't know the gender as yet, I have to stick with pretty neutral things. However I picked up this adorable bear onesie that comes with a little hat for £5 (reduced from £10). I thought the price was pretty reasonable and I bought a size 6-9 months as I want a few bigger things.

This weekend Michael and I are going to Brighton and whilst we're there we are treating ourselves to a little 'yay we're having a baby' meal...can't wait :) Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

There's an actual baby in there!

This is my second official pregnancy video! I have no idea why blogger decides to pick the worst possible picture to use as a thumbnail but never mind! The scan was yesterday YAYYY and I have lots to tell, hope you enjoy.

Mind the bump!

I am now nearly 12 weeks and only just discovered whilst staring in the mirror that I actually have a baby bump forming! It's not nice and rounded yet but my tummy is definitely growing and I am feeling things happening! Apoligies for my extreme paleness!

I have my scan on Tuesday and I am soooo excited, time is starting to move a little faster and I can't wait to see our baby on screen! HURRY UP AND ARRIVE TUESDAY! X

Moving along nicely!!

So I am officially 11 weeks tomorrow, how exciting! Nearly through the first trimester already and I am just desperate to tell people! I am getting a tiny bump but nothing that can't be concealed or mistaken for bloatedness! I am still counting every single day down until the scan, when we can see our little one on screen, only 9 days to go! I thought I would film a little video tomorrow to talk about how I am feeling as I thought it would be nice to look back on during years to come, so I will post it on here. Not that anyone but me will see it for a good while.

So yes, 11 weeks tomorrow. Time is flying but dragging at the same time but finally I saw my midwife on Friday for what is known as a 'booking in appointment' which sounds very exciting but really it is just to get you on the system, determine where you want to have your baby (I am choosing hospital because I predict that I will screaming for an epidural at the soonest possible moment plus I like the comfort of doctors, midwifes etc around me) and take lots and LOTS of details. It lasted over an hour and I got this very nice white shiny 'maternity record' which makes my pregnancy feel a little more real. It is a huge folder filled with lots of information and something I have to take to all future appointments. My next appointment will be on the 12th for my 12 week scan (when I will be 12+1) and then again at 16 weeks, so sometime in mid April.

Talking of April, I don't know if I have mentioned this in a previous blog post but it's all very exciting because I decided to book an early gender scan (I just cannot wait) for when I am 16 weeks. So, officially on the 10th April we shall know whether we are having a boy or a girl!!!!! Whoooo! I genuinely, hand on heart don't mind and all I want is for them to be healthy but I really just want to know either way as well as allowing me to start buying lots of pretty clothes (because you know I will) so we are so incredibly excited for that. It cost £79 which may seem a lot just to simply find out a month early but you also get to see the baby in 3D which I feel is worth it.

So in terms of the level of crappiness I am feeling at the moment, it's probably about a 10! I still have an horrible cough, sinus infection, nausea, bad headaches and a new one...no sense of taste AT ALL. Which sucks because how am I meant to enjoy cake now? It's horrible and I hope that one passes soon. I am still incredibly tired all the time and I cannot do much without needing a nap. The baby is growing much bigger now and is now around 5cm long and comparable to the size of a fig or small plum (I like to think of the baby in terms of fruit it's sweet!) and looks like this...

I am just getting more and more excited as the days go by....:) xxx
